What is the Gift of Prophecy?

1 Corinthians 12:8-11

Does God speak to us in the same way He did Abraham, Moses, Peter, and Paul? If so, how do we make sure it is God who’s speaking? If not, how do we explain prophecies? What are prophecies, to begin with?
