“Believers’ God-Given Mission as Children of Light"

One of the most well-known figures of speech Jesus used to refer to the Christian mission is the salt and light metaphor. In a world of darkness, our mandate is to shine the light of Christ and demonstrate God’s love to the world. 

But if we are honest enough to admit it, we don’t always keep the light on. Sometimes, we flip the switch, causing us to grope in the dark ourselves. How do we avoid being overshadowed by the darkness around us? How can we truly embrace this mission of representing Christ and all that He stands for?
