20 “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

Romans 1:20

The Lord who created the heavens and the earth wants to have a personal relationship with humans, His created beings. However, people have different opinions on the very existence of God.

In yesterday’s blog, we pointed out that faith is not just knowledge of God; it includes a personal experience of His truth and grace.

God has never hidden Himself from people. In fact, He has been revealing Himself to us. While He is invisible, we can clearly see His attributes like His power and divine nature. The reality about the Creator is shown in His creation. It is not an obscure revelation but an obvious one. Thus, God’s revelation through nature is enough to make people know the existence of God.

However, countless people these days deny that God is here. They believe that it is false that God exists, or if He is extant, the chances of it are extremely low. Interestingly, some would challenge the truth of God but blame Him for the bad things happening around them. They argue that if there is a God, then why is there so much pain and suffering in the world? Why does He allow the innocent to die and the murderer to live? Why did He let the Holocaust happen? Why does He allow wars, poverty, and famine to take millions of lives?

On the other hand, numerous people are left under the impression that just because they go to church, they are heaven-bound. But let’s not forget what Jesus said: that not everyone who calls Him Lord, Lord will go to heaven, but only those who actually do the Father’s will (Matthew 7:21-23).

God sovereignly chooses to whom He reveals Himself, but we should also decide to come to know Him. In other words, God seeks sinners, but sinners should also seek God.

Chances are, I don’t know you on a personal level. But God intimately knows you. He made you from your mother’s womb and has been taking care of you from that point on. But do you actually know Him? You who have been coming here for Christian content, can you honestly tell yourself that you have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you let Him rule over your life? Do you make decisions based on His word? Do your plans align with His sovereign will?

Pursue the Savior today!
